Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students' well-being as a School Social Worker near the beautiful Big Lake area. This full-time role covers a maternity leave from August 24 through December 23, working closely with a caseload of approximately 50 students. Your typical work day will begin at 7:15 AM, spanning eight hours each day. You'll have the chance to foster positive change and strengthen student support services within a welcoming educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid licensure or certification in school social work Experience with school-aged children or adolescents preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Background in counseling, advocacy, and crisis intervention is highly desirable Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and community partners Commitment to creating inclusive, safe, and healthy learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group counseling to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs Coordinate and implement student intervention plans as needed Serve as a liaison between families, teachers, and community resources Support students' transition, attendance, and academic engagement Provide crisis support and appropriate referrals Advocate for students and facilitate services for those with special needs or requiring additional assistance This contract role offers the unique opportunity to make a real impact during a critical period, working with a manageable caseload in a supportive setting.
