Job Description

Schedule :
Part-time, 15-18 hours per week. Twelve-month position.
Work hours:
Monday through Friday, hours flexible as required for the position.
Position Summary:
This position works to prepare youth and their family to participate in the sacramental life of the Church and collaborates with the formation team to engage, evangelize, and disciple children and families of the St. Patrick Catholic Church Community. Essential Functions of the
Position:
Work collaboratively with the formation team under the direction of the Director of Formation to create and provide innovative opportunities for engagement of our community in an on-going discipleship process. This position co-creates and coordinates curriculum preparation, formation programs, retreats, small groups, events, and parish outreach to support families in forming young disciples as well equipping families to live the faith and boldly share Christ with those around them. As a practicing Roman Catholic, help to shape a vibrant, on-fire Catholic community by living the faith dynamically, pursuing daily prayer, participating in the community's sacramental life, and serving others with an openness to the movement of the Holy Spirit. In cooperation with the Director of Formation, develop and manage comprehensive, systematic, and engaging programming for families and youth preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist in 2nd grade, to include evangelization, catechesis and discipleship opportunities and events. Support programming to engage families and their children through relational ministry, ongoing catechesis and opportunities for fellowship and community involvement year-round. Ensures a pastoral approach for all in setting program structures, e.g. calendar dates, procedures for registration and fee collection, etc. In cooperation with the Director of Formation, develop and manage comprehensive, systematic, and engaging programming for OCIA adapted for youth with retreat opportunities; building, managing, and presenting the material in a relatable, concrete, and transformative way. Maintain accurate records on enrollment, attendance, and sacramental preparation. Collaborate with Safe Environment coordinator to present and track Personal Safety Lessons for all age groups. Assist with evaluating, recruiting, training, and supporting adult and student volunteers, ensuring compliance with our mission and Archdiocesan and parish policies and procedures. Administrative tasks utilizing Word, Excel, Outlook, Canva, and Flocknote to create, track, manage, and communicate information as needed. Complete other projects as assigned by the Director of Formation, Pastor, and Business Administrator. Country Fest Staff Liaison for areas assigned. This includes assisting the chairperson(s) prior, during and after the event.
