Job Description

Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting K-12 students as a contracted school social worker for a maternity leave coverage from August 24 to December 23. In this full-time position, your day will start bright and early at 7:15 am and extend through an 8-hour shift. You'll be working with a manageable caseload of approximately 50 students, helping shape a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid licensure as a School Social Worker or eligibility to obtain Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred Ability to assess student needs and deliver effective interventions Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff Familiarity with creating and implementing individualized student support plans Capacity to manage confidentiality and sensitive information with professionalism
Daily Responsibilities:
Provide social-emotional support and counseling to students as needed Conduct assessments to identify barriers to academic and social success Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop student plans Serve on multi-disciplinary teams to support educational goals Organize and lead group or individual sessions for social skill development Maintain thorough records of student progress and intervention strategies Advocate for student well-being and help connect families to community resources This contract assignment is an ideal opportunity to immerse yourself in a vibrant school community, making a positive impact while covering a maternity leave.
