Friday/Saturday/Sunday 3pm - 11pmJob Summary:
Shelter Advocates are responsible for the direct provision of 24-hour emergency shelter services and emotional support for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Each Shelter Advocate will complete training in crisis interventions, victim advocacy, and shelter procedures upon being hired. Primary responsibility is to ensure the emotional and physical safety of shelter residents. Shelter Advocates are responsible for daily and monthly paperwork and statistics required for the shelterWork Station and Assigned Area:

Director of Shelter Services & Shelter Advocate Team Leads Criminal Background Check Required Key Responsibilities:
Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to shelter residents and hotline callers. Conduct resident intakes, orientations, and exits; maintain accurate documentation. Facilitate weekly house meetings and assign household duties. Ensure security of the facility, including monitoring doors and granting access to authorized individuals. Maintain shift notes, email updates, and other required program documentation. Help maintain pantry and grocery supplies; organize and record in-kind donations. Support residents in life skills, parenting, and achieving individual goals. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and reflective practice. Perform other duties as assigned to support program goals.Qualifications:
High school diploma required; some college coursework or experience in social services preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Must pass a Missouri Family Care Safety Registry and criminal background check. Valid Missouri driver's license and reliable transportation required. Flexible availability for day, evening, overnight, weekend, or holiday shifts.Why Join RACS:
