Job Description

Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary The After Care Aide at St. Gerard Majella Catholic School provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for students after school hours. This role supports students' social development, ensures supervision and safety, and promotes positive behavior while reflecting the school's Catholic values. Job Responsibilities Supervise students during after-school care in a safe and organized setting Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including games, homework time, and quiet activities Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students Monitor student behavior and address issues in accordance with school policies Assist students with homework and provide academic support when needed Ensure proper check-in/check-out procedures and student accountability Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration Maintain cleanliness and organization of the extended care space Job Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children in a school, daycare, or similar setting preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to supervise and engage groups of children effectively Dependable, responsible, and flexible Basic organizational and problem-solving skills Commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment Willingness to support and uphold Catholic values and school expectations The Archdiocese of St. Louis is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
