Job Description

Job Overview Immediate Openings! We have a variety of openings available to be staffed. Looking for Weekends, evenings, and daytime. Some cases will require transport, some cases will not. Some of our cases are dual PA staffed. Pay - Parent Aide pays at $17 a unit (hour) and transport pays at $22 a unit (approx. hour) We are seeking a dedicated Parent Aide to support our team in providing essential services to families receiving Family Centered Out-of-Home Care Services with the Missouri Department of Social Services. The Parent Aide provides and encourages opportunities for nurturing and attachment, teach and model effective child management techniques based on the child's development, encourage families to identify natural social supports, and link families to needed concrete resources. Parent aides provide interventions when necessary. Interventions may focus on improving skills in communication, interpersonal relationships, problem solving, conflict resolution, and stress management. Parent aides respectfully work with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Duties Supervise visits between parent and child(ren) in a manner that supports the safety of the children and offer suggestions to build parental skills Provide support in crisis management situations, assisting families in navigating challenges Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to develop and implement intervention plans Maintain accurate records of interactions and interventions for compliance and reporting purposes Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and meet state compliance rules Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required, additional life skills and/or education in family and child development preferred Be independent, organized, professional, possess strong time management skills Knowledge of child protective services and child welfare systems is preferred. Proven skills in crisis management and conflict resolution Experience working with children, demonstrating an understanding of their needs, behaviors, child development Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Preference to those who have transportation, licensed, and insured Your primary duty is to maintain the safety of the child. Second, you will be responsible for maintaining a critical observation of the parenting time and evaluation of their ability to perform the skills necessary to parent their child(ren). Some cases may require transportation for the children to and/or from visits. Class E Driver's Licenses will soon be required for transportation. Depending on the contracted company, transportation is reimbursed by the miles or the time. We have a various openings and new cases coming in weekly. We are needing a PA for a case on Mondays down in the Branson/Reeds Springs area (6+ hours); a shared four hour case on Saturdays, infant/newborn cases and various after school cases, etc.
