Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Director of Youth Ministries to lead and inspire the next generation within our faith community. In this vital role, you will develop and implement engaging programs that nurture spiritual growth, foster community involvement, and empower young people to live out their faith confidently. Your leadership will create a welcoming environment where youth feel supported, mentored, and encouraged to explore their spiritual journeys. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives through innovative ministry initiatives, compassionate counseling, and collaborative teamwork. Responsibilities Design and oversee comprehensive youth programs that promote spiritual development, social engagement, and community service. Lead, train, and support volunteer youth leaders and mentors to ensure effective program delivery. Foster strong relationships with youth by providing mentorship, Christian counseling, and guidance tailored to their unique needs. Organize engaging events such as retreats, workshops, service projects, and outreach activities that inspire faith and fellowship. Collaborate with church staff and community partners to expand outreach efforts and integrate youth ministries into the broader church mission. Provide support for bereavement situations affecting youth or their families with sensitivity and compassion. Manage fundraising efforts to secure resources for youth programs and special initiatives. Promote a safe, inclusive environment by implementing policies aligned with best practices in social work and child protection. Experience Proven experience in youth ministry or related roles within a faith-based setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills for engaging with youth, parents, volunteers, and church leadership effectively. Background in teaching or educational programming tailored to children and teenagers. Knowledge of hospice care principles or working with families facing grief is a plus. Experience in event planning, fundraising, or social work enhances your ability to execute impactful programs. Familiarity with Christian counseling techniques and mentoring strategies to support youth emotional well-being. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
