Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to provide social work services to mandated target populations of Work First Family Assistance (WFFA) clients in Randolph County.
Provide Social Work Services including:
Assist clients in developing an understanding of their responsibility for caring for and providing for their children Assessment of the strengths and needs of Work First Employment Services clients as they relate to the client's ability to become employed and maintain a stable living environment for themselves and their children. Develop an Outcome Plan with the client and coordinate activities that will enable the client to become self-sufficient. Refer clients to partner agencies and facilitate the provision of the community support and services that may be needed to support the total wellbeing of the members of the family. Work requires a professional level of understanding of social work practices and theories which can be utilized in a variety of settings. Work requires an understanding of the availability and interactions of a variety of community services and agencies; and of a range of professional service providers. Work in this area also requires a high level of accuracy due to very strict state and federal accountability of the program's funding and payment system. Inaccuracies in determining eligibility could result in audit exceptions, requiring the county repay money to the state or federal government. Families who receive Work First funds are very dependent on these funds for their basic necessities. An error in determining eligibility could result in a family hardship so services provided to the family must be timely, accurate, and appropriate for the family's situation. Bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution; bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE INCLUDED WITH
