Position Summary UNC Horizons RISE Program seeks a Community-Based Justice & Recovery Clinician to provide trauma-informed behavioral health interventions for pregnant, parenting, and single women with substance use and trauma histories, involved in the justice-system in Chatham, Orange, and surrounding counties. This position serves as the primary point of contact for justice-involved agencies across Chatham and Orange County and surrounding counties ensuring timely access to substance use disorder screening, assessment, and intervention services. As a core member of the interdisciplinary team, the therapist functions as the lead clinician to initiate community-based SUD and justice-involved comprehensive group programming for women and children with justice-involved histories and care coordination. The responsibilities include ensuring that women meet the ASAM risk rating of residential, SACOT, and SAIOP services, completing the necessary intake to initiate SACOT and/or IOP services, and providing evidence-based SUD and trauma care among women with child welfare and recovery court involvement. This role requires close collaboration with child welfare agencies, community-based SUD organizations, and Recovery Courts in NC. Must have a valid driver's license. This is a time-limited position with an expected duration of two (2) years. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in a Human Services discipline with coursework related to the area of assignment. Some positions may require certification to practice as a certified or licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification Board. Management Preferences
  • Experience in facilitating comprehensive clinical assessments to diagnose substance use and mental health diagnoses
  • Skilled in working in high-risk and in clinical crises situations
