(FCR, Inc.) has been serving children and families for over 50 years through high-quality early childhood education and comprehensive family support services. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Engagement Specialist to partner with families, connect them to resources, and support their journey toward achieving personal and family goals. This position plays a critical role in helping families build stability, access community resources, strengthen self-sufficiency, and actively engage in their child's education. What You'll Do Build positive, trusting relationships with families through regular communication and support. Conduct Family Needs Assessments and Family Partnership Agreements. Assist families in developing and achieving individualized family goals. Connect families with community resources and support services. Provide referrals and follow-up to ensure families receive needed assistance. Assist with recruitment, selection, and enrollment activities. Maintain and support waiting lists and classroom placements. Monitor child attendance and follow up with families regarding absences. Represent the program at community events, meetings, and outreach activities. Conduct home visits and follow-up meetings with enrolled families. Prepare required reports, documentation, and in-kind records. Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and program requirements. What You'll Need Head Start Family Engagement Certificate, Family Development Credential, NHSA Family Services Certification, or the ability to obtain a qualifying credential within 18 months of hire. Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Studies, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field. Minimum of one (1) year of case management experience working with low-income children and families. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations. Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of case management or family services experience. Previous Head Start, Early Head Start, or nonprofit experience. Experience conducting home visits, family assessments, and goal planning. Knowledge of community resources and family support systems. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
