Job Description

Early Childhood Family Support Specialist Healthy Families ND Program | Devils Lake, ND $19.00-$21.50 per hour Make a Difference for Children & Families in Your Community USpireND is seeking a compassionate and motivated Early Childhood Family Support Specialist to join our Healthy Families ND Program in Devils Lake (area), ND. In this rewarding role, you'll work directly with families to provide encouragement, education, and support that helps children thrive and parents build strong, healthy relationships with their children. This position is ideal for someone passionate about: Early childhood development and family well-being Supporting positive parent-child relationships Building meaningful community relationships Making a meaningful difference in the lives of families What You'll Do Conduct regular home visits to provide guidance and support to families participating in the program. Assess family needs and develop individualized support plans to address those needs. Provide resources and referrals to families to help them access necessary services and support systems. Engage parents, identifying strengths to build upon, using techniques to build trusting relationships and overcome barriers to participation in the program Assist in strengthening the parent child relationship and parenting skills. Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive support for families. Use reflective supervision and practices to continue strengthening skills in delivering services. Document all interactions and progress made with families in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Child Development or Human Services Field or a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of experience in working with children and/or families. Knowledge of infant and child development along with parent-child attachment principles. Experience in working with or providing services to children and families, to include experience and humility in working with culturally diverse families. Strong communication skills and open to reflective practices.
