Military affiliion is NOT required Duties Help The primary purpose of this position is: to provide preventive, remedial, and support services aimed improving and sustaining the psychological health of Nional Guard (NG) military members and their families. Coordine with the Nional Guard community serving the military and non-military agencies to promote timely informion exchange, coordine collaborive prevention efforts, and establish and maintain an extensive array of resources, associions, and community partnerships. Participes in community activities to incorpore complex stregies th enhance community strengths, reduces broad-based community needs, implements community problem solving methods, and forges community connections to promote psychologically healthy lifestyles. Conducts needs assessments, intake evaluions, and psycho-diagnostic assessments. Accomplishes intake interviews to include family history, bio-psychosocial history, developmental and health histories, and presenting problems together with any relevant secondary informion, screens records and personnel for security clearances and makes administrive recommendions. Coordines, and implements prevention and community outreach and educion programs. Develop coordined plans for reducing risk factors for individuals and within the community, and build and enhance a general culture th promotes psychological health and wellness. Coordine as key facilitor and team lead in the development and implemention of an annual, Unit-level psychological health stregic plan. Develop, teach, and provide oversight for classes th promote educion and skill-building to enhance psychological and physical health. Formules stregies to genere interest, acceptance, and participion by Nional Guard community consumers, resource suppliers, and eligible Nional Guard Soldiers/Airmen and family members regarding psychological health services and community prevention for the general populion. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE
Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Basic Requirements:
Educion. Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Educion (CSWE). A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work. ( Must provide a copy of your transcripts to receive credit for your educion. ) Licensure . Must be licensed or certified by a ste to independently practice social work the master's degree level. ( Must provide a copy of your license/certificion with your applicion.) Clinical Experience. Must have 24 months of experience in a clinical social work assignments. In addition to the basic requirements, applicants must meet the one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS 09 grade level or civilian sector equivalent.
The specialized experience includes:
1) Working knowledge of social work theories, principles, techniques, and resources; 2) Experience interviewing people to establish the nure and extend of their problems, helping them work-out plans for improving the situion, providing assistance and services, and referring them to community resources and other organizions ; 3) Experience assisting clients to understand and modify their own pterns of behavior.
