Family & Juvenile Support/Visitation Specialist Ready to make a real difference in the lives of families? Do you have a passion for supporting parents and children during their most important moments? If you're someone who loves helping families grow stronger, this is your chance to be a part of something truly rewarding! We're looking for a both Full and Part-Time Family & Juvenile Support/Visitation Specialists to join our team! You'll be the friendly, guiding hand families need to help them through their visitation journeys while providing support and coaching every step of the way. Plus, you'll get to see firsthand the positive changes you're helping create in your community!
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Ensure kids are safe and happy during visitations—you're the go-to person to make sure everything runs smoothly!
  • Supervise interactions between parents, children, and siblings with a watchful eye (and a big heart!).
  • Get to know each family's unique needs and offer guidance to help them thrive.
  • Build strong relationships with families, offering support and encouragement to boost their confidence.
  • Step in with parenting tips and tricks as needed, all according to the visitation plan.
  • Provide family support by identifying and addressing the goals of the family unit as they work toward reunification.
  • Participate in regular check-ins with your supervisor to share your observations and insights.
  • Document everything in a timely manner to keep accurate records of the visit.
  • Keep family info confidential—trust is key!
  • Stay up-to-date with child welfare trends, laws, and policies by attending training sessions (and enjoy learning along the way!).
  • Collaborate with a supportive team dedicated to making a positive impact.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local agencies and other community partners.
  • Step in for additional duties or requests as needed—because no two days are the same!

What We're Looking For:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in child development, psychology, sociology, social work, education, or a related field ( and/or equivalent combination of work/life experience in the field).
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and proof of 100/300 insurance.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test (safety first!).
  • A computer and phone for staying in touch with clients and documenting your work.
This position serves Columbus and the surrounding areas, and it's ready for you to step in and make an impact!
