Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Newfound Area School District is seeking a motivated, adaptable, and dedicated individual to join their multidisciplinary team of educators for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is highly collaborative, working closely with school counselors, administrators, nurses, special education professionals, teachers, community agencies and families to support students' needs at all levels. The district-wide school social worker will play a crucial role in our students' social, emotional, and academic well-being.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE
McKinney-Vento Liaison Facilitate suicide prevention training for staff, middle, and high school students Coordinate and plan with outside providers such as DCYF Assist parents/guardians in accessing and utilizing school and community resources Administration and staff collaboration Serve on student support teams Assist schools with truancy/absence concerns Home visits and court hearings when necessary Help identify social/emotional needs of students and help support the implementation of a plan of support Maintain accurate case records Compile annual reports
