Home to more than 1,600 students, the Pelham School District is composed of Pelham Elementary School, Pelham Memorial School, and Pelham High School. Essential Responsibilities The Pelham School District is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and student-focused PK-12 School Social Worker to support students' academic, social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs across the district. This role is dedicated to promoting the developmental, social, and emotional well-being of students from PK through grade 12 while serving as an essential link between school, home, and community resources. The District Social Worker will provide clinical and case management services to students and families to help remove barriers to learning. Responsibilities include identifying students' social-emotional needs, engaging in the MTSS process, developing and implementing intervention plans, and supporting the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans within the school setting. The position also includes providing direct student support through social-emotional learning (SEL), short-term individual and small-group counseling for students experiencing behavioral challenges or trauma, and crisis intervention services, including de-escalation and safety assessments. In addition, the District Social Worker will foster strong family and community partnerships by connecting families with outside resources such as housing assistance, food support, and specialized mental health providers. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with general and special education teams and administrators to support student success. The role also requires maintaining accurate and confidential records in accordance with district, state, and federal regulations. Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) New Hampshire certification or eligibility as a School Social Worker Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) preferred Experience working with children and adolescents in educational or clinical settings preferred Knowledge of MTSS, trauma-informed practices, special education processes, and crisis intervention Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills What We Offer Our full-time team members are offered a comprehensive employment package that includes competitive pay, sick and vacation leave, 2 health plans including a 100% District paid plan, dental coverage, STD/LTD/Life/AD&D coverage, 403b plan, paid holidays and more.
