Child Monitor

Function:

To provide care and supervision to children whose caretakers are participating in program workshops and trainings.

Responsibilities:

To assist program facilitators with workshop/training set up and clean up; To provide childcare and supervision to children whose parents are participating in agency workshops and training sessions; Provide facilitators with feedback regarding any childcare concerns and issues that arise during workshops; and Other relevant duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

Prior babysitting experience Nurturing and caring demeanor with the ability to be firm Ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner Ability to communicate effective with children, care takers and program staff Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural diversity issues Ability to effectively work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds and races Ability to effectively work as a member of a team Ability to work effectively with clients including intervention and relationship building skills.
