Job brief We are currently seeking an emotionally intelligent Social Worker to join our team. As an advocate, you will play a crucial role in helping children birth to three enhance their capacities and coping mechanisms, improving their daily lives and experiences. Within specified standards and timescales, you will provide valuable support and guidance, fostering positive change. We offer services to children in the Essex, Passaic, Middlesex, Union, and Sussex. Responsibilities Making home visits to evaluate a child's living conditions and patterns of parent-child interaction. Preparing a social or emotional development assessnment of the child within the family context. Identifying, mobilizing, and coordinating community resource and services to enable child and family to receive maximum benefit from Early Intervention Services. Assisting the family of a child understanding the special needs of the child and enchancing the child's development. Maintain accurate records and report on the childs' status Attend Meetings and Conferences Requirements and skills Proven work experience as a Social Worker Working knowledge of social theories and practices Social perceptiveness and empathy Active License or Certification (LSW) Ability to relate and communicate with diverse population and groups Resilience along with ability to assess situations Reliable form of transportation BS degree in social work (BSW), psychology or sociology Updated and Active Liability Insurance
