Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a School Family Worker and become a vital link between students, families, and the school community! In this energetic and rewarding role, you will provide essential support to children and their families, fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. Your proactive approach will help address diverse needs, promote student well-being, and strengthen family engagement. Responsibilities Serve as a trusted liaison between families, school staff, and community resources to support student success. Implement behavioral health strategies and conflict management techniques to promote positive student behavior. Provide culturally sensitive counseling to families and students, respecting diverse backgrounds and needs. Support children with special education requirements by collaborating with teachers and specialists. Conduct crisis management activities to ensure safety during emergencies or behavioral incidents. Facilitate communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, attendance, and well-being. Assist in coordinating childcare services for families facing challenges or emergencies. Qualifications High School diploma Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus Experience working with children in educational, social work, or childcare settings. Knowledge of child welfare laws, child protective services procedures, and crisis intervention techniques. Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and conflict management strategies. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and counseling skills. Excellent communication skills to engage with students, families, and school staff clearly and empathetically.
