Category Schools - Social Worker Job Type Contract What This Opportunity Offers A school district in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role is based in a high-needs high school setting, providing direct support to students through counseling, case management, and crisis response. This is an impactful position for professionals passionate about student mental health and social-emotional development. Primary Responsibilities Deliver individual and small group counseling services to high school students Provide ongoing case management and student support coordination Assist with crisis intervention and behavioral support strategies Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administration to address student needs Support initiatives that promote student well-being and engagement Maintain accurate documentation aligned with district and state requirements Required Credentials Active New Mexico LMSW or LCSW license required Must have New Mexico PED (Public Education Department) certification in hand Experience in school-based or adolescent mental health settings preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills
