Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School-Based Social Worker to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. This role is vital in fostering a safe and supportive school environment, addressing barriers to learning, and connecting students and families with essential resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to student needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote student success Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community organizations Assist in crisis intervention and conflict resolution Support attendance improvement initiatives and dropout prevention efforts Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal guidelines Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 plan meetings as needed
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Valid New Mexico Social Work license (LMSW or LCSW preferred) Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or community setting Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and culturally responsive approaches
