Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Key Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Social Worker, preferably in a school environment Valid licensure as a School Social Worker in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain) Strong understanding of IEPs and the special education process Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Ability to handle confidential information professionally and sensitively Commitment to fostering a safe and supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct social-emotional and behavioral support to high school students with IEPs Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as outlined in students' IEPs Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to advocate for student needs Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to each student Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the planning and monitoring of student progress Maintain accurate documentation and reports as required by school policies and state regulations Step into a role where you advocate for growth and well-being in a collaborative educational setting.
