POSITION SUMMARY:
This position provides case management, family advocacy and education to families in assigned caseload by providing and linking families to comprehensive services including home visits and socialization activities. Works with typically and atypically developing children and their families in a home-based setting. Opens a new window.REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma / GED and an Infant Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (with Home Visitor endorsement preferred) or a Preschool CDA with Home Visitor endorsement, or New Mexico Child Development Certificate (CDC), or equivalent required, or required to obtain one of these options within one year of hire date; OR
- One year certificate in Early Childhood Education within one year of hire date; OR
- AA/AAS or BA/BS or MA/MS degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, Infant Family Studies, Human Services or related field within one year of hire date. A degree is considered related only when it includes six or more courses in one of the above-mentioned fields.
- Experience in:
- Child development and early childhood education;
- Principles of child health, safety, and nutrition;
- Adult learning principles;
- Family dynamics;
- Communicating and motivating adults;
- Community resources; and;
- Linking families with appropriate resources.
- Knowledge obtained through education or experience in Early Childhood Development or Early Childhood Mental Health required.
- Bilingual Spanish or Navajo preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- With the exception of Lea and Eddy County employees, prior to providing parent education / home visiting services, but no later than four months following hire/transfer into the Parent Education / Home Visiting program, must obtain the national "Parents as Teachers (PAT)" certification. Must maintain current throughout employment.
- Have or be able to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire.

- This position requires successful completion of an initial post-offer of employment:
- Health exam (and annually thereafter in accordance with PMS Policies).
- TB Test (and upon exposure in accordance with PMS Policies). In accordance with the federal Head Start Act, Section 648A(g) and the New Mexico Administrative Code 8.8.3., this position requires:
- Criminal Background Checks.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
- May be required to use personal transportation to carry out job duties.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
- Must provide a current motor vehicle record.
- Must provide current personal owner liability automobile insurance and must maintain the insurance coverage throughout the course of employment in this position.
- Must submit to a motor vehicle record check on an as needed basis and maintain a satisfactory driving record that is within the limitations of PMS Human Resources Policy II.D.3, Automobile Usage, and applicable state and federal laws.
- Must comply with PMS Policies on Automobile Usage, II.D.3, Drug Free Workplace, III.H and applicable state and federal laws.
- May be required to complete transportation related trainings.

POSITION SUMMARY
This is a non-licensed para-professional position that provides mobile behavioral health crisis support within the area of responsibility of the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT). Responder is assigned an on-call schedule when they must be available 24/7. The mobile crisis responder provides immediate, on-site behavioral health crisis intervention and stabilization services for individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, and emotional distress crises in the community. This role involves responding to emergency calls, de-escalating crisis situations, assessing needs and providing referrals to appropriate services. The responder works in collaboration with licensed therapists, other MCRT team members, first responders and other community service providers to ensure individuals receive the necessary care and support. Employee must reside in the county where Mobile Crisis Response Team services are provided.
