Job Description

Help Children and Families Stay Connected Safely Casakids is seeking a compassionate, professional, and dependable individual to join our Visitation and Family Advocacy Team as a Child Supervised Visitation Monitor . This position plays a critical role in supporting children and families involved in custody disputes, CYFD cases, and other court-ordered visitation arrangements by providing safe, structured, and trauma-informed visitation services. About Casakids Casakids is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families through advocacy, support services, education, and prevention programs. Our Visitation and Family Advocacy Program provides supervised visitation, safe exchanges, transportation services, and family support to help strengthen family relationships while prioritizing child safety. What You'll Do As a Supervised Visitation Monitor, you will: Supervise visits between children and parents in accordance with court orders, CYFD requirements, and agency policies. Provide a safe, structured, and trauma-informed visitation environment. Observe, document, and report interactions objectively and professionally. Schedule and coordinate visitation sessions, transportation, and exchanges. Transport children and families when required by the case plan. Maintain detailed case notes, reports, logs, and program documentation. Monitor family interactions and intervene when necessary to ensure child safety. Provide constructive feedback to families regarding visitation expectations and compliance. Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and multidisciplinary meetings as needed. Assist with maintaining visitation schedules, client records, billing documentation, and program operations. Help maintain a welcoming, clean, and professional visitation environment. Support other program activities and agency events as assigned. What We're Looking For Successful candidates will possess: Strong observation and documentation skills. The ability to remain calm and professional during emotionally charged situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong boundaries and sound judgment. A trauma-informed and child-centered approach. The ability to work independently while maintaining teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED. Valid New Mexico Driver's License. Ability to pass all required criminal and background checks. Ability and willingness to transport clients when assigned. Ability to lift and assist children when necessary.
Preferred:
Associate's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Human Services, or a related field. Experience working with children, families, behavioral health, social services, education, child welfare, or related fields. Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
