Bronx, NY General Responsibilities:
Catholic Guardian Services is looking for a passionate and experienced Community Coach• for our residence program. The Community Coach provides individualized support to connect individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) with to their communities and assists the individual in acquiring and maintaining his or her independent living skills.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required, some college preferred. Minimum one year experience providing direct services to individuals with a developmental disability. Ability to travel to New York City communities. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Preferred (but not required): We are seeking candidates who enjoy active, "people-oriented" work and are sensitive to the needs and preferences of people with disabilities. Basic knowledge of computer applications. What do you bring to the table: Empathy, kindness, and a natural nurturing ability. Passion for supporting adults in achieving their goals.
