Job Description

Position:
Middle School Social Worker, Full-Time The North Shore Hebrew Academy (NSHA) is a co-educational Modern Orthodox Yeshiva that inspires students to become passionate learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers and dedicated community members. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Social Worker to provide direct and indirect support services to students experiencing social, emotional, and/or behavioral challenges that interfere with their school performance. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience collaborating with school staff, families, and community providers, and a passion for working in an Orthodox Jewish Middle School setting.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to students with various social, emotional, and behavioral needs Develop and implement social and emotional learning programs to promote positive student outcomes Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment Support families in addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns related to their children Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs and appropriate interventions Maintain accurate and confidential records of student services and progress Provide crisis intervention services as needed Supervise all 504 and Special Education accommodations in collaboration with the GNPS Psychologist and Special Education Teacher Proctor exams for students needing accommodations as needed Ideal Candidates will possess the following qualifications: Masters degree in social work, school counseling, psychology or related field A minimum of three years of social work experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Salary Range:
