Social Worker (LMSW) -
Social Services Location:
Queens, NY | Full-Time | Inpatient Medical/Surgical & Float Units Make a real difference in patients' lives every day! Join the Case Management and Social Work team at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center , a 384-bed, award-winning teaching hospital and Level I Trauma & Stroke Center. As a Medical Social Worker, you'll provide critical support to patients and families, coordinate safe discharges, and help patients navigate complex medical and social needs.
Position Highlights Full-Time Salary:
$43.90 - $58.02 per hour (based on experience) Excellent PTO and 1199 Union Benefits Rotating weekends and holidays required Responsibilities Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and discharge planning. Provide counseling and crisis intervention for patients and families. Connect patients with community, financial, and social service resources. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Advocate for patients' psychosocial and emotional needs. Facilitate referrals and support services as needed. Investigate and address cases involving suspected abuse or neglect. Requirements Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW). NYS LMSW or LCSW required. Hospital experience preferred; new graduates welcome. Strong communication, counseling, and organizational skills.
