Overview Join our dynamic team as a Peer Worker and become a vital part of transforming lives through compassionate support and empowerment. In this role, you will leverage your lived experience with behavioral health, mental health, or addiction recovery to connect authentically with individuals facing challenges. Your energetic and motivating presence will inspire hope, foster resilience, and promote recovery within our community. Responsibilities Provide peer support by sharing personal recovery stories and offering encouragement to individuals navigating mental health or addiction challenges Assist clients in developing coping strategies through motivational interviewing and behavioral health techniques Respond effectively to crisis situations using crisis intervention and crisis management skills, ensuring safety for all involved Collaborate with clinical teams to coordinate care plans and facilitate access to additional services such as social work or counseling Maintain accurate documentation of interactions within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards Mentor clients by fostering trust, promoting self-advocacy, and supporting their journey toward recovery Participate in ongoing training on addiction counseling, mental health counseling, and social work best practices to enhance support skills Skills Strong understanding of behavioral health, mental health counseling, and addiction recovery principles Proven ability to manage crises effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management techniques Excellent mentoring skills with a compassionate approach to supporting others' growth and resilience Skilled in motivational interviewing to facilitate client engagement and behavior change Experience working with EHR systems for documentation and record keeping Knowledge of social work practices relevant to behavioral health settings Ability to remain energetic, positive, and motivating in high-pressure situations This is more than just a job — it's an opportunity to empower others while growing your own skills in a rewarding environment. $20.00 - $27.65 per hour
