Job Description

Agency seeks qualified candidates for the position of full time Family Intervention Specialist. This position provides school-based preventive intervention to families at risk of becoming involved in the investigative aspect of the child welfare system. There will also be a focus on increasing youth school engagement. Intervention will provide assessment, advocacy, resource education and service coordination. The position will work in two school districts and function as a team member with school personnel. Bachelors degree or Masters degree in human services field required. BSW or MSW preferred.
Salary Range:

Throughout the years, the START Children's Center, Inc. has been addressing the needs of families and youth in the community. We provide trauma-informed comprehensive services to youth and families. The mission of the START Children's Center is to reduce trauma for child victims of abuse and their families by providing a safe, child-friendly environment to support the investigation, prosecution, and treatment process. The center accomplishes this through a multidisciplinary team approach, focusing on healing and creating a sense of security for the children and families it serves.
