Job Description

Join the team at Unity House of Troy and help strengthen partnerships with community resources that support families during times of crisis. Sign on bonus may applyKey ResponsibilitiesProvide assistance, advocacy, and case management services to non-offending parents or guardians. Offer emotional support, crisis intervention, and safety planning services. Collaborate closely with Rensselaer County Child Protective Services to coordinate care and support family stability. Develop and maintain partnerships with community agencies and service providers. Provide training and coordination of services with community partners. Connect individuals and families to supportive resources and referrals. Utilize and help develop best practices for effective case resolution. Complete required contract, documentation, and regulatory compliance activities. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Promote a workplace culture grounded in inclusion, respect, and belonging. QualificationsBachelors degree preferred with at least 3 years of related experience; OR Associate degree preferred with at least 4 years of related experience; OR High school diploma/GED with at least 5 years of related experience. Experience in domestic violence services, family advocacy, crisis intervention, child welfare, or human services strongly preferred. Valid, clean New York State drivers license required. Reliable transportation required. Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is compassionate, collaborative, and able to build strong relationships with families and community partners. They should be comfortable working in crisis situations, advocating for client needs, and navigating systems that support family safety and stability.
