Hire Rate:
$74,131/yr; ($37.87/hr, 37.5 hrs/wk) Madison County seeks a full-time Staff Social Worker to provide social work services to children referred at school for individual or family therapy on site at school.
Other duties include:
diagnosing mental health conditions as appropriate and developing treatment plans accordingly; completing relevant paperwork including intake forms, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and/or letters as needed; as well as attending staff meetings, teacher support, and trainings for school staff. The Staff Social Worker functions under the supervision of a Supervising Staff Social Worker who may define or limit the work to be performed. The incumbent performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EITHER:
(A) Possession of a New York State license to practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); AND current registration, issued by the New York State Education Department at time of application; OR (B) Possession of a Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling or marriage and family therapy, or closely related degree; AND i. Possession of a Limited Permit to practice as a LMSW. Must obtain the New York State license to practice as a LMSW and registration within twelve (12) months following the date of hire or prior to the expiration of the Limited Permit, whichever comes first; OR ii. Possession of a Limited Permit to practice as a LMHC. Must obtain the New York State license to practice as a LMHC and registration within thirty (30) months following the date of hire or prior to the expiration of the Limited Permit, whichever comes first; OR iii. Possession of a Limited Permit to practice as a LMFT. Must obtain the New York State license to practice as a LMFT and registration within thirty (30) months following the date of hire or prior to the expiration of the Limited Permit, whichever comes first.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
•Employees must maintain an appropriate and current license and registration or limited permit as applicable throughout appointment.

1. The minimum qualifications for this position are mandated under Article 154 of New York State Education Law for LMSW and LCSW and Article 163 of New York State Education Law for LMHC and LMFT. 2. Degree(s) must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education. If your degree was awarded by an educational institution outside of the United States and its territories, the candidate must provide independent verification of equivalency.
