Based on the state mandated salary schedule according to degree level and years of teaching experience ($40,838.00- $71,037.
POSITION SUMMARY
The County-Wide Elementary Communities in Schools/Student Support Liaison serves all elementary schools within Webster County Schools. This position implements the Communities in Schools (CIS) model with fidelity while coordinating county-wide Student Assistance Team (SAT) processes and supporting school improvement efforts. This role focuses on removing barriers to student success by coordinating evidence-based supports, strengthening school-wide systems, improving attendance, increasing academic achievement, monitoring and supporting progress toward strategic action steps, and building meaningful partnerships among schools, families, and community agencies. The position requires regular travel between elementary schools in Webster County.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communities in Schools (CIS) Implementation- Engage and lead school-based support teams in collaboration with administrators, teachers, and staff in implementing the CIS model with fidelity across all elementary schools.
- Collaborate with school leadership teams to conduct the annual comprehensive needs assessment process at each elementary school.
- Develop and oversee implementation of school support plans aligned with identified needs.
- Coordinate and deliver evidence-based interventions grounded in best practice and risk-factor research.
- Provide tiered student supports including case management for identified at-risk students.
- Monitor and adjust services based on student progress data.
- Evaluate effectiveness of services in achieving school-level and individualized student goals.
- Lead annual reporting requirements related to CIS implementation.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community agencies and service providers to expand available supports.
- Build strong, solution-focused relationships with families.
- Connect families to community resources that address barriers such as food insecurity, housing instability, mental health needs, and other risk factors.
- Serve as a bridge between home, school, and community agencies.
- Collaborate with the Title I Transition Specialist to support family engagement initiatives, including identifying families who would benefit from participation in engagement activities and assisting with outreach.
- Support elementary-level family engagement activities that reinforce attendance, academic readiness, and student well-being.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate in planning and implementing county-wide family engagement events that support student attendance, social-emotional wellness, and academic success.
- Coordinate outreach efforts to ensure families with identified needs receive consistent communication and support across schools and programs.
- Share data and information regarding attendance concerns, student transitions, and family support needs to ensure coordinated intervention strategies.
- Conduct joint home visits when appropriate to address significant barriers impacting attendance, engagement, or student well-being.
- Coordinate with school administrators, counselors, and community agencies to ensure aligned support services for students and families.
- Collaborate to identify systemic barriers affecting students and families and develop strategies to improve school-family partnerships.
- Participate in regular collaboration meetings to review student needs, attendance trends, and family engagement opportunities. County-Wide Student Assistance Team Coordinator
- Serve as the official SAT Coordinator for all Webster County elementary schools.
- Ensure consistent implementation of SAT procedures and documentation county-wide.
- Schedule, facilitate, and monitor SAT meetings as needed.
- Guide teams in data analysis, intervention planning, and progress monitoring.
- Support development of academic and behavioral intervention plans.
- Provide training and technical assistance to staff on effective intervention strategies.
- Maintain county-level oversight of SAT compliance and reporting. County-Wide Attendance Support
- Assist in coordinating county-wide attendance improvement initiatives.
- Monitor attendance data trends and identify students at risk of chronic absenteeism.
- Make meaningful contact with families regarding unexcused absences.
- Facilitate attendance conferences and due process meetings.
- Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, and social service agencies to reduce truancy.
- Serve as liaison with community partners, including MDT and CPS, for case managed students in collaboration with transition specialist for MDT meetings
- Support schools in implementing proactive attendance strategies and family engagement efforts. Other Duties
- Collaborate with transition specialist to conduct home visits when appropriate to address barriers to attendance.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records.
- Prepare reports as requested by district administration.
- Travel between elementary schools within Webster County.
- Perform other duties within the scope of the employee's skills, certification, and abilities as assigned by the supervisor. Work Environment

- Evening events required for family engagement activities (schedule adjustments permitted with prior approval from Federal Programs Director)
- Travel between schools and home visits required (mileage reimbursed from base location) Coordination The Title I Transition Specialist and the County-Wide Elementary Communities in Schools/Student Support Liaison will maintain regular collaboration to ensure alignment of student support services, family engagement initiatives/events, and attendance improvement strategies across Webster County Schools.
