Job Description:
Position Summary:
We are seeking Clinical Social Workers I/II (Bilingual English/Spanish LMSW) to work within our Behavioral Health Division at our Bronx-based flagship location El Nuevo San Juan Community Health Center. Our Behavioral Health Team spans across two floors, where we provide individual therapy and outpatient psychiatry support to both children and adult patients. As a Clinical Social Worker, you will utilize evidence-based approaches to provide clinical services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health and emotional disorders. You will work with diverse populations to promote mental well-being and facilitate access to resources and support systems, while under clinical supervision to acquire clinical hours towards an LCSW. This position is onsite at the onset of employment for training and to build patient rapport. Following 6 months of employment- reassessment can be made for hybrid options of 2-3 remote days with established patients who can benefit from virtual therapy.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work from Accredited Institution is required. NYS Licensed LMSW is required. 2 years of experience providing therapy. Bilingual Spanish/English is required. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Ability to identify high-risk psychosocial factors in patients and families that impact health status.
Key Duties:
Provides bio-psychosocial assessments and clinical diagnostic assessments. Conducts individual psychotherapy and counseling services. Maintains skills and knowledge in clinical theory and practice to help patients overcome dependencies, adjust to life, and make changes. Provides counseling to family members to assist with understanding and supporting patients. Engages in crisis intervention when necessary and refers patients or family to community resources. Provides consultation to medical providers. Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment and intervention programs. Participate in clinical team meetings.
Starting Compensation:
