Job Description

Purpose:
Supervise, advise, mentor remote & on-campus general camp counselors. Assure that counselors & participants adhere to policies and procedures for in-person and virtual programming.
Career Readiness Competencies :
Communication Leadership Professionalism Technology Create a sense of team and fellowship through programming & activities. Develop a well-rounded community within the building & in our virtual camps/programs. Lead programmatic activities as needed and/or direct camp counselors to facilitate programs. Develop relationships with and be visible to campers & parents over virtual office hours and in-person camp check-in/check-out. Assist with Log-In and technology issues regarding virtual camper course platforms. Become familiar with available resources on campus and be able to communicate those resources to campers and parents. Conduct meetings with students who have violated camp rules. Along with camp directors, University personnel, and Summer Academic Youth Programs Offices, determine appropriate consequences and results of these meetings. Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, families, faculty, advisors, and other constituents on-campus. Distribute and assist with all paperwork and other administrative duties. Attend and participate in staff training sessions and regular meetings. Assist with office administrative tasks such as preparations for preparing, packing, and mailing virtual camper materials, setting up in-person camp lunches, etc. Prepare camp materials using Canva. Prepare a final summer camp report from camper application data.
Required:
Must have at least one semester of graduate-level coursework completed.
Preference given to graduate students:
