FAMILY MINISTRY DIRECTOR

The Family Ministry Director position is a part-time position that focuses on serving all ages of children from birth through high school as well as their families

QUALIFICATIONS

• Clear testimony of a life that has trusted in and is walking with Jesus Christ
• Strives for the 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5 model for church leaders
• A heart to serve, lead, and support children and families in their relationship with Christ
• Committed team player with good relational skills and a positive attitude
• Agrees with Church of God (Anderson, Indiana) beliefs and doctrines

ABILITIES

• Organized in planning, preparing, and leading children, youth, and family events
• Self-starter who strives for quality

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Connect with children, youth, and their families: Praying, visiting, coaching, discipling
• Assure safe policies and procedures are in place to keep all children and the adults who work with them safe (This includes background checks and video trainings)
• Recruit, train, and empower volunteer leaders
• Work with volunteers throughout the year to develop children/youth programming
• Maintain updated health and contact information for all children and youth
• Create and maintain a safe check-in system for all services and outreach events
• Ensure that volunteer workers are supplied with materials for teaching
• Order and purchase curriculum and other resources needed for ministry
• Develop a monthly schedule of volunteers for Nursery, Children's Church, and Youth
• Create and maintain a calendar of all children/youth events and activities
• Manage a yearly Vacation Bible School event
• Organize special events for kids, youth, and families in coordination with the pastor, worship leader, and outreach coordinator according to the event
• Be prepared to teach lessons, lead classes, and do visitations as the need arises
• Available to help with children/youth events outside of regularly scheduled services
• Engage in the body of the church as an active member by seeking to make connections within the church body and also support the vision, mission, and leaders of the church

COMPENSATION

• This is a part-time position of 15-20 hours a week.

The compensation is $20.00 per hour.
