PARENT & YOUTH AMBASSADOR - FULL TIME

Due to program expansion, the

YWCA CCR&R

is seeking Parent & Youth Ambassador positions in Mansfield, Ohio. The Parent & Youth Ambassador functions as a liaison between the community and the state to respond to inquiries from families, young adults and agencies seeking assistance for supports such as food, bedding and housing, service referrals for parenting classes, and assists with navigating benefits and developing informational materials. The Parent & Youth Ambassador is responsible for establishing partnerships and maintaining correspondence with regional service providers, governmental agencies & public entities who can provide support to families within the specified region. Additional responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating regional programming such as family listening sessions and Parent Cafes, providing general information regarding program operations, maintaining and updating manuals and preparing monthly statistical and narrative reports. A minimum of two years of lived experience interacting with governmental, community or human services agencies that provide child protective services, federal public assistance or any Ohio benefit OR a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Human Service, or a related field preferred. Desired experience includes working with children with special needs, behavioral health issues, substance abuse, developmental disabilities, and/or experience in the juvenile justice system. The ability to travel is required.

Salary:

$17-$21/hour. Benefits available.
