In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, clinical counseling, and case management, to diverse populations across various settings. Your expertise will support individuals with developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, and those requiring specialized care such as geriatrics and autism spectrum disorder. Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning for clients across multiple age groups and diagnoses Deliver individual, group, and family therapy utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis Implement specialized interventions including addiction counseling, PTSD care, Alzheimer's care, and working with individuals with autism or disabilities Manage crisis situations through crisis intervention and crisis management techniques to ensure client safety and stability Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Collect data for clinical research projects related to mental health, behavioral health, or social work initiatives Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management services and ensure holistic patient care Requirements Valid licensure as an Independent Social Worker (LISW) or equivalent in the relevant jurisdiction Proven experience in psychotherapy, mental health counseling, or behavioral health settings Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical records management Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and data collection purposes Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder Ability to perform patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations effectively Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients in individual or group therapy sessions Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA standards Preferred qualifications include experience in hospital settings or home & community care environments; expertise in psychopharmacology; familiarity with special education practices; experience with ICD coding; working knowledge ofICD-10/ICD
coding; understanding of CPT coding; background in clinical research; proficiency with medical documentation; experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism; skills in motivational interviewing; knowledge of applied behavior analysis; familiarity with Geriatrics and Alzheimer's care; expertise in pediatric mental health issues; and training in Christian counseling or other specialized therapeutic modalities.
