You will work alongside families, educators, and community partners to support healthy development from the very beginning. This position blends early childhood consultation, prevention programming, and hands-on behavioral health support to promote social-emotional development, resiliency, and family stability. You will move between classrooms, homes, schools, and community settings, meeting families where they are and providing practical, relationship-focused support that makes a meaningful difference. This is a 30-32 hour/week position with the potential to quickly grow into a 40 hour/week role. Services are provided primarily in Wooster and surrounding rural communities through a mix of school-based, home-based, and community-based work. We will assist and support you in obtaining and maintaining the credentials needed for this work. Key Responsibilities Support children's social-emotional development through classroom consultation and teacher coaching Promote early identification of behavioral health needs and strengthen protective factors Provide early childhood prevention programming using evidence-based curriculum, including DINA Dinosaur School Facilitate prevention programs and group services in schools and community settings (Life Skills, All Stars, Too Good, Strengthening Families) Partner with families through coaching, engagement, and resource connection Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and team members using a trauma-informed approach Provide behavioral health support including skill-building, emotion regulation, and symptom management in home and community settings Support families during transitions, appointments, and periods of increased stress Maintain flexibility to meet family and community needs, including occasional evenings Qualifications Minimum high school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred At least six months of experience working with children and/or families Ability to obtain and maintain (with agency support): Early Childhood Certification Prevention Specialist Certification Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist (QBHS) credential or clinical licensure Why Pathway Pathway Caring for Children is committed to strengthening children, families, and communities through compassionate, relationship-centered care.
