POSITION
Child Nutrition Worker
RESPONSIBLE TO
Director of Instruction and Child Nutrition Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Attends relevant training classes, staff meetings and workshops as requested. Maintains defined standards of sanitation and safety of personnel, food preparations, kitchen equipment and cafeteria facilities. Gathers, maintains and stores food and/or supplies for workstations. Completes job task and/or other duties in assigned time frame. May take and record food temperatures on serving line. Follows serving instructions and exhibits knowledge of Child Nutrition Program meal pattern requirements with students. Duties can include any combinations of the following duties. Washes and cuts up fruit and vegetables for salads and desserts. Assists in preparation of soups, meat, salads and desserts. Responsible for initiating appropriate pre-preparations. Duties also include cleaning workstations, serving counters, kitchen floors, dining room tables and floors as well as food and supply storage areas and restroom. Washes and scours pots and pans and other equipment. Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies according to established procedures with manager supervision. Demonstrates the ability to work with fellow employees. Performs related work as requested. Due to the daily menu change, the change of work responsibilities may alter. Employees are expected to work in any area needed. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
