Shelter Advocate - Full Time Osage Nation Health Center Pawhuska, OK 74056 Full-time Full-time The Shelter Advocate is responsible providing advocacy, information, referrals and related services to victims of domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, and human sex trafficking. Upload your tribal Membership card, if claiming Osage or Native American preference Answer all questions Any information given may be verified You must sign/acknowledge your application to be considered for this position Osage preference does apply Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Willing and able to lift, push, kneel, bend, reach overhead, and pull/carry up to 30 lbs. Willing able to work midnight to 8 am shift General Qualifications Associate's Degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Education or related field Must be certified to perform and score danger assessments or obtain certification within 90 days of hire Must be certified to perform and score an Ontario Domestic Assault Risk Assessment within 90 days of hire Must become a certified Victim of Crime Advocate within 120 days of hire Must be CPR/First Aid/AED certified or within 90 days of hire Familiarity with family violence, sexual assault and/or human sex trafficking issues Must be able to deal with potentially hostile and/or uncooperative individuals Must be able to handle stress Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics Must maintain confidential information regarding shelter guests and crisis callers Requires a high level of problem solving skills Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs Requires good interpersonal communication and team work skills Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record - may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
