Job Description:
PHMS Best Buddies is a club that is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students at PHMS and offers the students a multitude of activities as well as an opportunity to socialize and make lasting friendships.

Qualifications:
Experience:
Experience working with middle school students and coordinating and managing events.
Skills:
Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work with students of all ability levels.
Education:
Valid PA teaching certificate.
Essential Functions:
A faculty advisor acts as a liaison between the school administration and the club, providing guidance to student leaders and members. Advisors work with student leaders to plan events and create opportunities for inclusion. Advisors work with program staff and special education advisors to provide information, and support and build lasting relationships. Advisors will communicate with parents regarding permission/consent to participate. Advisor will promote the club and events in the school and community. Advisors will attend events. Advisors will schedule, organize, and arrange transportation to and from events. Advisors will chaperone students at dances or other social events and provide supervision during all meetings. Other duties as assigned by Administration. Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.
Frequency of meetings:

Clearances:
In accordance with the school code, Act 24 and All related clearances. MNSD Supplementary Contract Unit Values 2026-2027 1-2 years experience
