Job Description

Want to help people in your own community? At Mitzvah Circle, we think differently about people in need. We support individuals and families experiencing poverty, homelessness and serious illness, serving people walking along life's edge by providing individualized material support, case management and coaching.
Masters Students :
We do not have the level of supervision that is required for MSW programs. Mitzvah Circle utilizes Social Work interns to assist with intake and assessment-related tasks. You will be interacting with those needing our help, qualifying them and determining how we can best serve them. Interns will provide detailed and accurate tracking in our Salesforce database. Our highly-skilled staff rely on intern support to assist with the volume of requests that we receive for help. Interns work under the guidance of our Executive Director. We are a fast-paced, innovative organization.
Specific learnings include:
Learn to write clinical notes, learn about referrals and community resources, learn how to do intakes with people needing help, learn how to accurately track data in our Salesforce database. Interns should have a social work, psychology, human service or liberal arts major (although we are happy to consider other majors too), sign a confidentiality agreement, and be able to pass a background check. We will provide a $500 stipend at the successful completion of your internship. We are happy to work with students and schools toward academic credit. Students must have completed at least their sophomore year of school with a minimum 3.0 GPA. This internship is for a minimum of 8 hours a week and the hours are 9am-1pm. You need to stay the full 4 hour schedule. Social Work interns need to work either MW or TTh for training purposes. We are happy to have you work more than 2 days a week. The internship starts the week of August 24, 2026, and you need to commit to stay through December 11, 2026 even if you complete required hours sooner. This is an in-person position. All internships are at 435 Doylestown Road, Lansdale, PA . You will need your own transportation. We are not able to provide drop-off or pick-up from the train station. We will do background checks on all interns. To learn more, visit our website at www.mitzvahcircle.org, or see us in action on Facebook (www.facebook.com/MitzvahCircle) and Instagram. We are firmly committed to equal employment opportunity for employees and applicants. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, age, religion, disability, sex or gender, gender identity and/or expression, sexual orientation, military or veteran status.
