Primary Responsibilities:
This position provides mental health services in the Chartiers-Houston Junior/Senior High School in their contract with Outreach; evaluates needs and provides individual/group counseling services, crisis intervention, and psychoeducation presentations in both a school and outpatient setting; participates as member of a multi-disciplinary team to identify and coordinate referrals; develops psycho educational classroom presentations, in-services, and parent education forums to the schools and other host settings.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare or assist in preparation and implementation of educational plans and goals for the school. Complete timely and accurate documentation using EHR system. Communicate and collaborate with staff, families, external agencies and/or others as necessary to support services to consumers and the mission of the agency. Maintain hours of services as per contract. Participate in planned supervision. Fully participate as required in staff development opportunities, which are offered to enhance professional growth and to maintain license, certification, or identified program performance skills. Perform other duties as assigned.
Educational/License Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Child Development or related field required . Some prior work in schools or prevention preferred National Certified Counselor (NCC) preferred Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, or Licensed Certified Social Worker preferred Student Assistance Program (SAP) certification preferred Act 33/34/73 Clearances Please submit resume, cover letter and preferred hourly rate to: Maggie Zangara, mzangara@outreachteen.org
