This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to engage with K-4 students in emotional support settings and to partner with dedicated school staff. The position is available immediately and extends through June 2026, providing continuity and the rewarding experience of nurturing student growth over several school years.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Social Work or related field State licensure or certification as required for school-based Social Workers Experience working with children, especially elementary-aged students Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills Understanding of and sensitivity to the emotional and social challenges faced by students Previous school-based social work experience is highly beneficial
Role Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to elementary students requiring emotional support Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies for student well-being Conduct assessments and maintain detailed records of student progress and interventions Assist in crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed Serve as a resource for parents and staff regarding social/emotional development and available community supports
