Community Coordinator for High School Exchange

PAX is currently looking for a Community Coordinator (local representative) in and around Bemidji, MN. We are seeking commission-based independent contractors to connect international high school students with host families and local schools. The community coordinator's primary responsibilities are to: Recruit and screen volunteer host families. Collaborate with local high schools to arrange student enrollments. Provide support to students and families through monthly check-ins during the school year. Promote cultural exchange in your community. Ideal candidates will have the following experience, characteristics, and attributes: Have parented or worked with teens for three or more years. Bring experience from education, sales, or youth counseling. Are optimistic, motivated, flexible self-starters. Possess excellent communication skills. Have a strong network within their community. And/OR a strong love for children and culture As an independent contractor, your income is limited only by how many students you place. We think it is ideal for a community coordinator to place and support three to six students each year - though some place as few as one student and others place as many as ten or more.
