Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Creole-Speaking Parent Coach to empower families and strengthen parent-child relationships within diverse communities. In this vital role, you will serve as a trusted mentor, providing culturally sensitive guidance and support to parents and caregivers who communicate primarily in Creole. Your energy and commitment will help foster nurturing environments where children can thrive, while promoting positive parenting practices through engaging conversations, practical strategies, and empathetic listening. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in families' lives while utilizing your language skills and social work expertise. Duties Build trusting relationships with parents and caregivers by offering respectful, culturally relevant coaching tailored to their unique needs. Provide guidance on child development, effective discipline, and emotional regulation using evidence-based methods. Facilitate workshops and one-on-one sessions that promote positive parenting techniques aligned with family values. Support families in navigating challenges related to addiction, conflict resolution, or behavioral issues through mentoring and social work strategies. Assist parents in developing practical skills for managing daily routines, communication, and conflict management within the home. Collaborate with community organizations and service providers to connect families with additional resources and support networks. Document coaching sessions accurately while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to program guidelines. Experience Proven experience working directly with children, families, or in social services environments. Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and empower parents from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of social work principles, addiction counseling techniques, and conflict management strategies. Demonstrated teaching ability to convey complex concepts clearly and engagingly in Creole. Excellent communication skills in both Creole and English; fluency in additional languages is a plus. Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, patience, and professionalism. Prior experience in community outreach or family support programs is highly desirable. $22.77 - $27.42 per hour
