Since 2013, we have been supporting children, families, and early childhood centers across the five boroughs by offering specialized itinerant services, bilingual support, and professional development programs. Our team of experienced professionals is committed to fostering positive educational and developmental outcomes for children with diverse needs. Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Early Intervention Service Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will coordinate and oversee early intervention services for children aged birth to 3, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive. You will work closely with families, educators, and community partners to develop individualized plans, manage service delivery, and promote positive developmental progress. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children and their families. Responsibilities Coordinate early intervention services by collaborating with families, service providers, and community agencies to develop tailored intervention plans Support families through the process of accessing child welfare, child protective services, and family law resources as needed Conduct assessments of children's developmental needs and facilitate referrals for additional supports such as behavioral health or childcare services Manage crisis situations through effective crisis intervention and crisis management techniques while maintaining a calm and supportive demeanor Maintain detailed documentation of service plans, progress notes, and case records in compliance with agency policies Advocate for high-risk population support by addressing behavioral health concerns and working with children with disabilities or special needs Skills Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of child protective services, child welfare systems, and family law procedures Experience in crisis management and crisis intervention strategies within high-risk populations Proficiency in behavioral health principles and working with children with disabilities or developmental delays Ability to manage conflict effectively while maintaining professional relationships Excellent organizational skills to handle case documentation and coordinate multiple service providers Join us at Optimal Care Services to be part of a dedicated team that transforms early childhood development through compassionate support, expert coordination, and innovative practices!
