Family Engagement Coordinator UU Church of Concord (NH) Concord, NH Job Details Part-time $43,680 a year 7 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Flexible schedule Retirement plan Qualifications Computer operation Program development Computer literacy Administrative experience Working with children Education Bachelor's degree Computer skills Productivity software Educational program management Full Job Description Our justice-loving and children-embracing congregation seeks a skilled and creative Family Engagement Coordinator to help us create a culture of belonging for people of all ages, with a special emphasis on children, families, and intergenerational activities. The Family Engagement Coordinator also plays a role in our membership and engagement activities for people of all ages. The position will average 30 hours per week, with more September to June and much fewer in summer. The start date will be in mid to late August, 2026. This position is a reimagining of the role traditionally held by a Director of Religious Education. Job Summary The Family Engagement Coordinator plans and implements programs for children and families that will: engage children with their whole hearts, minds, and spirits; support children & families in exploring our Unitarian Universalist values and being of service in the world; and help children and families create and experience authentic connection with one another, with the wider congregation, and with the natural world. The Coordinator supports parents, guardians, and grandparents in their lives as UUs, and helps them integrate into the life of the congregation. The Coordinator facilitates intergenerational programs that promote the exchange of wisdom across diverse life stages and experiences. The Coordinator welcomes and engages newcomers, and helps all congregants to be engaged in congregational life. Qualifications Required Commitment to the values and principles of Unitarian Universalism. Proven experience (2+ years) in educational programming, youth work, community organizing, or a related field, preferably in a religious or non-profit setting. Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate effective programs for diverse age groups (children, youth, adults). Excellent organizational, administrative, and time management skills. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with an ability to connect authentically with children, parents, and volunteers. Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Google Workspace, email, and social media). Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Sundays and occasional evenings/weekends. Preferred Familiarity with Unitarian Universalist curricula and resources. Experience in volunteer recruitment, training, and supervision. A Bachelor's degree in Education, Religious Studies, Social Work, or a related field. Optional Bonus Skills Musical ability to engage children in singing or music-making Experience in outdoor education Experience with children with neurodiversity or learning differences
