ISE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM
International Student Exchange (ISE) is seeking a dedicated Local Coordinator to support high school exchange students and host families in your community. Each year, ISE creates life-changing opportunities for over 2,500 international teens to experience American culture while living with welcoming host families and attending local high schools. As a Local Coordinator, you'll be the vital connection between students, host families, and schools- ensuring safe placements, smooth transitions, and positive experiences for everyone involved.
Overview:
ISE is officially designated by the US State Department as an Exchange Visitor Program- you're part of something meaningful, globally recognized, and highly respected! Perfect fit for Educators | Counselors | Coaches | Parents | Retirees | Community Leaders who want to make a real difference by building global friendships and opening doors for young people across cultures Comprehensive support & training
- You'll be paired with an experienced Regional Manager who provides 24/7 guidance and support, plus flexible online and video conferencing training Earn side-gig income
- Work just 2-3 self-determined hours weekly and earn generous one-time placement stipends per student, plus monthly oversight payments throughout the school year (Oct-June) Free ISE group travel to Iceland and Puerto Rico in 2026
- Place just 4-8 high school exchange students with host families and earn all-expenses-paid trips to these incredible destinations with your ISE team
What You'll Do:
Build your community network- Connect with families through social media and face-to-face outreach using ISE's ready-made marketing materials that make community outreach a breeze Welcome families into the program
- Visit homes, get to know potential hosts, and help them see how rewarding this experience can be Open school doors
- Partner directly with high school administrators to get students enrolled and set up for success from day one Create perfect matches
- Use your insight and intuition to pair international students with the ideal host families and schools where they'll thrive Be the go-to support
- Stay connected with students, families, and schools all year long, making sure everyone feels confident and supported Check in and problem-solve
- Meet regularly in person to see how things are going and jump in to help whenever challenges pop up Bring everyone together
- Plan and host three memorable gatherings throughout the year where students, families, and friends celebrate cultures and create lasting memories Represent ISE in your community
- You're the friendly face and trusted voice of the program

Who We're Looking For:
ISE field staff come from diverse backgrounds. Ideal candidates are educators or school-involved parents with extra time on their hands. It's an exciting side gig that earns pocket money and free travel.About Our Students:
