This vital role involves overseeing patient care, supervising social work staff, and ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice across diverse settings. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for mental health, a strong leadership background, and expertise in managing complex cases involving children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health conditions. Responsibilities Supervise and mentor a team of social workers, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA. Oversee patient assessments, intake processes, and develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Provide direct clinical counseling services, including individual, group therapy, and family counseling sessions focused on behavioral health, trauma (PTSD), addiction recovery, Alzheimer's care, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and pediatric mental health. Coordinate crisis intervention efforts promptly and effectively to support patients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral crises. Manage documentation of medical records, progress notes, treatment plans, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Conduct diagnostic evaluations and case management activities to monitor patient progress and adjust care strategies accordingly. Lead staff training on topics such as behavioral therapy techniques, crisis management, medical terminology relevant to mental health care, and culturally competent practices. Qualifications Valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in the respective state. Proven supervisory experience leading social work teams within healthcare or community-based settings. Extensive knowledge of behavioral health interventions including trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and applied behavior analysis (ABA). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Alzheimer's disease, PTSD, substance use disorders, pediatrics, and home or community care environments. Strong understanding of medical documentation standards, HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and electronic medical records systems. Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism while demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity.
