Job Description

First Steps Service Coordinator - Greater Kansas City region-The Daulton Group, Inc. Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities? We are hiring!
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Service Coordinator to join our team. The Service Coordinator will play a critical role in guiding families through the early intervention process. We are seeking a highly organized, detail oriented, compassionate individual to fill a full-time position in the Kansas City area. Candidates must be able to travel regularly to locations within their assigned area and into the main office in Independence, Missouri as needed. What is Missouri First Steps? First Steps is Missouri's Early Intervention system that provides services to families with children, birth to three years of age, with disabilities or developmental delays. The program is designed to meet the needs of families related to enhancing their child's development, learning, and participation in family and community life. The Daulton Group, Inc is contracted with the state of Missouri to implement the First Steps Program in the Northwest and Kansas City regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for families enrolled in the Missouri First Steps program. Conduct family assessments and gather information on the child's development. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) in collaboration with families and other professionals. Coordinate services such as ongoing therapy, initial evaluations, and assessments with families and providers. Facilitate monthly Early Intervention team meetings. Provide families with information and resources to promote their child's development and family support. Ensure that services are delivered according to state and federal regulations. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services and communications. Coordinate with other medical and healthcare providers. Facilitate the transition from the First Steps Program. Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Educational Qualifications and experience required:
Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following with one year of documented experience working with families and young children: Early Childhood Special Education Early Childhood Elementary Education Special Education Child / Human Development Social Work Nursing Psychology Education Administration Sociology Family Science/Studies Counseling Or Bachelor's Degree or higher with three years of experience working with families and young children.
